I've gotten a chance to watch some subs of the Best Wishes series and absolutely adore what the producers have done with the new season. The new characters are interesting and bring a different element to Ash's journey which is a very nice change. They've stopped repeat gags (i.e. Brock swooning on girls, James pokémon tackle, the rocket motto, etc.) Ash has caught more pokémon in a quicker time frame than previously. Battles are more frequent and are very well choreographed. Iris is not as annoying as I thought she would be and Dent is a good balance as a mellow character. Ash is still very funny when he gets over enthusiatic when he wants to capture a new pokémon and just throws a pokéball right away, lol, he never learns in that area.
My favourite change is that Team Rocket is actually acting like an evil corporation! They for the most part have left Ash and company alone and have instead been working on the mission set out by Team Rocket excutives. Not once has the motto not been uttered once, but they have only made one attempt at capturing Pikachu. Totally thrilled at this change, the story flows so much better when its not constantly being interrupted by the same 5 minutes of script.
Looking forward to the english version and got my fingers crossed that they will keep the same energy the Japanese version has ;D
