I had a friend who said he went to the EB Games at Metrotown here, and they apparently didn't know anything about the event being held there. Is it possible it's held at like Toys'R'Us or something? I'm going to try it out myself soon, just to confirm.

Some of the EB Game associates aren't very helpful or interested even when they have the poster display in the store advertising the download. It can be frustrating. When I talked with the EB Games in Park Royal its apparently a package they receive from Nintendo that they hook up to the stores wifi and then flip a switch to activate the download during store hours. They're management gave them strict orders to make sure that the download was on. And according to them only the EB Games with the posters will have the download. I did have to tell them why this particular download was so special though.

I went to Metrotown, and I don't know what my friends were talking about, but as soon as I got to my pokemon title screen, it kindly informed me there was a mystery gift signal, so I was able to get the first beastie. And the beastie experiment I tried was a success  |

It could be your friend tried to do a Wifi Download instead of the plain download. The Nintendo Wifi selection is not compatible with location downloads.
Also good to know that the info I got from EB Games was actually correct on the locations that have the event.

Oops, my bad. I've been getting a lot of 'bad gateway' and 'invalid proxy' messages when I load this site. Must've gotten double posted during one of those times. But yes, your info was definitely accurate. My friend went again, and got it after I told him how  |

That's good to hear  Kinda weird about the proxy thing  I've never encountered that on any of my computers. You may need to clear out your computers cache or update your browser. Which one are you using? I use Firefox and Safari and have never had a problem. |

so it's available at metrotown eb games right? But I don't have a NDS and only going to buy one within the next two weeks. I WANT TO CATCH ZOROARK SO BADLY!! i don't need all the three shiny beasties to catch zoroark right?

Nintendo hasn't verified if you only need one of the shiny beasts or the whole set. I would think you would just need one of them. Metrotown EB is one of the locations hosting the special event |
