Sub or dub?

Just a little curiosity. What do people here tend to prefer? The English dub, or the original Japanese version?

I like the dub up until the original VAs left. (Veronica Taylor being gone is a deal breaker D:) I kept trying to get used to the new English voices but... It's not just that I was used to the originals, but the new ones are just so ... BAD. AWFUL. @_@ So I watch the dub from season 1 all the way until "Advanced Battle," and from "Battle Frontier" and on, I watch it in Japanese. I'm pretty used to the Japanese voices anyway since I used to listen to the image songs sung by the characters all the time. So it was far less jarring to switch to Japanese than to deal with new and terrible VAs. @_@

How about everyone else?

The new voice actors were absolutely atrocious at the end of the Hoenn region and I stopped watching it for awhile. When I repicked it up when Diamond and Pearl was released I was pleasantly surprised that the voices have improved. Also from what I can tell some of the original voice actors have returned as the season progress (i.e. Meowth, so happy when he got his Brooklyn accent back). It took them awhile but the new actors have gotten better. Still like the old crew best but at least they aren't abysmal anymore.

I love the Subbed version, and will watch them whenever I come across one!

Does the new dub get to be good, or is it just not abysmal? If it gets good enough to enjoy then I'll try again and endure it, but otherwise I'll just stick with what I've been doing.

Yay! Hopefully you enjoy them, Diamond Pearl is pretty awesome and the battles have that flare that was in some of the original classic battles. Plus Ash's Buizel is super awesome. Kinda has a similar fighting spirit that Charizard had.
